For over two centuries, this institution has stood as a beacon of enlightened education — uniting the wisdom of the East with the rigour of Western scholarship, and producing generations of distinguished citizens who have contributed to the enrichment of society, science, and culture.
Dehli Science & Commerce College, Karimabad, is the proud and distinguished successor of the historic Anglo-Arabic College of Delhi — one of the oldest and most revered educational institutions in the South Asia, with an unbroken academic heritage spanning over two hundred+ years.
Re-established in Karachi following Partition through the tireless dedication of the Old Boys' Association, the College continues to serve as a pre-eminent institution of learning, firmly rooted in Eastern traditions, and the highest ideals of modern scholarship and humanistic values.
This institution has always been more than a place of learning — it is a movement. It enriched the Urdu language and literature, gave new dimensions to civilisation, and showed the nation a path to intellectual and moral vitality, preserving the finest synthesis of Eastern and Western education for generations to come.
Delivering quality education at Secondary and Higher Secondary levels in Science and Commerce, maintaining the high academic standards established by our historic Alma Mater.
Pioneering the harmonious blending of Eastern wisdom with Western scientific enquiry — a tradition inherited from the original Anglo-Arabic College since the 1820s and faithfully upheld to this day.
Nurturing students with integrity, magnanimity, civic responsibility, and love for all of humanity — the foundational values declared at the very inception of this institution.
Sustained by the Old Boys' Association (Pakistan) since 1949, the College is built upon the sacrifice, generosity, and enduring loyalty of generations of distinguished alumni.
The concept which brought into being Delhi College must be kept alive and changed continuously into reality, even more rigorously in Pakistan, in order to achieve our noble goals and objectives in course of time. We must establish many institutions like this one which could produce such promising youths who would love their country heart and soul, adore their culture and civilisation, and have a deep-rooted confidence in their country's bright future.
— Founding Principles, Anglo-Arabic College & Schools Old Boys' Association, Pakistan
Few educational institutions in the Indian subcontinent can look back with pride on three hundred years of history — and, what is more important, on a new lease of life after Partition. This is our story.
The Anglo-Arabic College traces its origins to 1792 and the historic college of Ghaziuddin Khan in Delhi. Through centuries of political upheaval, colonial rule, and the trauma of Partition, this institution endured — sustained by the devotion of its old boys and the indomitable spirit of its founding ideals. Today, it flourishes anew in Karachi and Rawalpindi, bearing witness to over three centuries of educational service.
Perhaps there would be few educational institutions in Indo-Pakistan that can look back with pride on three hundred years of history, and, what is more important, to a new lease of life after the partition of the sub-continent. Far from succumbing to the turmoil of the partition, the Anglo-Arabic College and Schools have burgeoned and proliferated in the form of schools and colleges of the same name in Karachi and Rawalpindi — thanks to the efforts of a dedicated group of old boys, and of the Old Boys' Association as a whole.
— Prof. Syed Amjad Ali, "The Three Hundred Years Old Past of Anglo-Arabic College and Schools"
The ideals upon which this institution was founded remain as vital and enduring today as the day they were declared. They are not merely aspirations — they are our covenant with every student who passes through these doors.
To the leading institution of the rigion that harmoniously bridges Eastern heritage with modern scientific education, producing graduates who are confident, capable, morally upright, and deeply rooted in the values of their civilisation.
To provide high-quality Science and Commerce education in an environment that nurtures intellectual curiosity, moral character, national pride, and a commitment to lifelong learning — guided by the noble heritage of humanistic scholarship embodied by this institution.
To faithfully carry forward a over two-hundred-year tradition of enlightened education — the Eastern–Western synthesis first embodied by the Anglo-Arabic College, — for the benefit of future generations.
Our ideals have guided the institution through every decade of its existence and continue to form the bedrock of all academic, character-building, and social endeavour within these walls.
The primary goal of the institution is to provide modern education rooted in the glorious heritage of humanistic scholarship, Eastern thought, and scientific inquiry — to serve students as their guides for multifarious experiences in the ever changing times to come.
Students shall be accustomed to punctuality of time, remaining active and agile at all times, and being perpetually curious about learning and research — qualities essential to productive and honourable citizenship.
Students must possess integrity of character, magnanimity of spirit, and be imbued with a deep sense of ethical responsibility — whilst cherishing respect and love for all human beings, without distinction of creed, class, or background.
The institution prides to produce youths who love their country heart and soul, adore their culture and civilisation, and are always prepared for any sacrifice necessary for the preservation of their national values and the progress and prosperity of their homeland.
Students adhere steadfastly to their ethical values and cultural roots, regardless of the changes that might take place in future ideas and nations of mankind — grounded in principle yet open to the legitimate progress of human knowledge.
Here, new and modern methods will be adopted for effective teaching. All steps will be taken to make the students well disciplined so that they may be accustomed to punctuality of time, remain active and agile all the time and be curious about research. They must have strong moral character, magnanimity of spirit, be imbued with a sense of civic virtue and compassion, and should also have love for all other human beings, in general. They must adhere steadfastly to their values and heritage, regardless of the changes that might take place in future ideas and nations of mankind.
